A Coincidence of Cats REVIEWS

  • The music by Mr Adamson on this recording has more to do with the creation of tone poems of the Richard Strauss-like kind. The colours and textures that are evoked by piano, brass and woodwinds are culled from a sonic palette that is rich, and makes the sonic poetry of this music vivid and quite absorbing.....a finely played programme that can be recommended with absolute confidence.

  • Solos on open trumpet and tenor sax drive the music forward, as Taylor’s drumming becomes increasingly frenetic (he also plays a lively solo) – it’s a powerhouse performance by the band...a very enjoyable album from a talented group of musicians.

  • The job the Andy Adamson Queintet did for my event was really impressive, and Andy was very fun to work with. I think the secret behind their success is that they love what they're doing, so that energy really comes our in the music.
